I was supposed to either Solo to Kemble or dual land away to Sywell … high winds today, METAR reporting 15kts gusting 25kts at both airfields meaning solo is a no go (max 20kts) and crosswind at Sywell would be gusting to 20kts which is more than the PA28 POH (17kts)
So we did a dual QXC adding in lots of VOR navigation, offsetting the VOR and then 40 minutes instrument only time with a “hood” on so I couldn’t see anything!!
We did fly over Silverstone circuit today which was very cool!
